sh*t... I only noticed he was thinning about 3 years ago and now look at it. It was going in at the sides and the front had thinned a little but it looks like DHT has been working overtime on old Braveheart.

Not surprising. You never noticed how bad he lost his hair just between lethal weapon 1 and 2?

Yep, here's a closer view:

This might have been discussed before, but why is it that regular guys like us are able to regrow hair with a transplant, but some famous guys choose not to? I would think that their careers depend on looking good for the camera. Yes, I know they can hide it with certain products, but if they're rich enough to fix the problem once and for all, why not do it?

Well he's worth half a billion dollars so i think he can mos def afford to do what ever the hell he wants to regarding his hair.

Passion of the Christ earned him mucho Dollars. Since he took on all the production costs since none of the studio big names like Miramax and Warner would touch it with a bargepole. Guess the risk paid off, or faith as Mel would probably say.

Maybe the reason he has not done anything about his hairloss is he just don't care like we do.

yeah imagine if we had that much money. I honestly still would want to fix myself up a bit. Look at matthew mcconaughey's transplant. Who ever did that was REAL good because i seen his hair on David Letterman and it looks totally natural especially on the hairline. Mel should hook up with him.

In regards to matthew mcconaughey I do not think he had transplants done. Personally I think he wears a rug of some sorts. This was discussed here not too long ago. Anyway I am too lazy to look for it, but it had to do with him at a bowl game when he was watching his Texas Longhorns in January. His hair did not look so good actually it looked pretty bad so I think when he has to be seen on TV he wears a rug. Just my 2

Completely disagree. Pick up the recent Men's Health with McConaughey on the cover. There is a feature article with him in Mexico running. He's had something done because he's got a full head of hair that is going through some crazy marathon exercise in Mexico.

yeah forsure he had something done because i was just looking at pictures and before he was receeding like 2 inches back and now he isn't even receednig 1 inch back. More like a mature hairline now but before his hairline was seriously receeded. it looks SO damn natural though. I wonder what he had done and where he had it done?

Dang it Darkly you made me have to look and not be lazy, but anyway the proof is in the pudding as they say. Rose Bowl 2005, you have to scroll down a bit but you will find them. It has 7 pages and you can find a lot of picts of him on there. It is hard to get them upclose because of the whole registering thing but anyway here ya go for the non believers. Scroll down as I said and you can clearly see his hair in not in that great of shape as it is in recent pictures http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing ... 44&nbc1=2#

Another thing is magazines and photoshoots can do amazing things, I have seen it firsthand.

Pick up the Men's Health. The pictures are all taken while running and exercising. I'm not doubting that magazines fix things like that but I really don't think that's the case here. Check it out.

Weaves and Wigs are quite commen for photo shoots, movies, appearances, etc., they don't need hair transplant unless they want them because they can just slap a toupee on and look like they are 16 again when they need to. I bet there are at least a few younger actors that have some serious hairline issues, but that won't be known for many years because they won't be caught dead without their "bought hair" in fear it would cause them to lose parts playing their age range.

I agree with odelay he must have had a hair piece or a concealer, like toppik. Who knows how long Mel been thinning. I saw him last night on Jay Leno and he had a head full of hair.
