Is long term topical ethanol good or bad for skin?

We know that chronic heavy drinkers get expanded blood vessels in their nose (ugly), and higher risks of skin cancer.

So if I make a resveratrol topical in water and ethanol, and apply it to my face every day, would my face benefit more from the resveratrol, or would the ethanol in the skin daily cause more problems?

Same question for minoxidil:
What are the long term effects of the ethanol on the scalp? If you are a good responder, it would be worth it. But if not, then I have to wonder. I do want to apply topical egcg to my skin though. But maybe with water and glycerine instead?

Since I already apply sun block to my face, I might as well add a bunch of anti-oxidants to it (no carotenoids though). Maybe I should take the rest of my anti-oxidants orally though.
