I started on finasteride (proscar, 1.25mg) today, and like everybody else, am curious about how well it is going to work for me.
I know everybody is different, but I was wondering is less aggressive hairloss generally more likely to be treated than aggressive hair loss?
I had an insanely thick head of hair right up until I was around 25, then slow recession at the temples started. I am almost 29 now, and a NW2 with slight thinning at the crown. I still have fairly thick hair, but am starting to go noticeably bald, which is the reason i'm starting on finasteride right away.
I notice from this forum that younger guys with aggressive hair loss that hits them at around 18-22 usually don't have as much success with finasteride as guys with mild to moderate, slowly progressing hairloss. Is this just a trend I am noticing, or is there any truth to it?
