started taking finasteride a couple of weeks ago and so far so good with sides. I’m a Norwood 2.5 and starting to thin into NW3. Is it worth waiting for 6 months and seeing how in get on with finasteride and then trying minoxidil?
Hey man! Hope you are doing well. OK in my opinion I would just continue with Finasteride. Minoxidil does work but many times it doesn't for some people and can cause a shed which may alarm you. If I were you I would wait and just continue on using Finasteride for at least 6-9 months. Out of the two (Minoxidil and Finasteride) Finasteride is the main drug that you need, because think about it if you used Minoxidil all it would do is it might regrow your hair but you need to deal with the main culprit of your hair loss which is DHT and Finasteride takes good care of that. But again that's only my opinion and at the end of the day you should do what you feel is right. Best of luck man!started taking finasteride a couple of weeks ago and so far so good with sides. Well nizoral wouldn't do any harm to be honest but make sure to use it 2 times a week at minimum. Too much can actually cause more hair loss and makes your hair look like straw and just weird. Nizoral is pretty good to give you a healthy scalp which gives new hair which is growing a healthier environment to grow in. Think of your scalp as a flower bed. If the soil is not healthy the flowers won't be healthy either and for our scalp inflammation would not allow any healthy hairs to grow. So if I were you I'd use Nizoral 2 times a week and don't leave it on your scalp for more than 2 minutes. Also don't start off with Nizoral 2%. Use Nizoral 1% to make sure it's not too harsh on your scalp. Best of luck!Hey! Cool so I’ll do that then as a potential shed could definitely freak me out! Would you also leave nizoral for a some months also ?
