Is It Worth Seeing A Dermatologist?

I ask because its fairly expensive for one consultation. so I best make sure its worth it first.

For the last few years I been suffering Scalp inflammation. and its in the areas where I am balding. i think its a male pattern baldness pattern. the problem is that the inflammation is spurred by any ingredients or chemical that touches my skin anywhere. and recently anytime i eat i get an inflammation attack on my scalp. which slowly goes after half hour. its so strange and its not getting better. maybe its gut-related. maybe its immune system related. i just dunno.

The inflammation doesn't have any redness, skin peeling or really any noticeable signs. its just an itch and tingling, which is clearly destroying my hairline.

Is it worth paying the money to see a dermatologist? or would it be pointless for the issue i have?

Your issue sounds very niche. I too get the itch/tingling after I eat but only spicy foods.

I do not think a dermatologist would be of any aid. Go to a hair specialist / restoration center in which they offer free consultations. Probably your best bet.
