is it worth it to get the "hairloss" blood work done before finasteride treatment?

Hey there!
I just started finasteride and read about some of you getting the blood work done.
Although, I definitely see the benefit of knowing the levels of different markers in blood in general I am not sure if I can justify the more expensive "hairloss" tests.
Should I just wait and see if I really need them. Especially since, as someone mention the effects of finasteride on blood markers disappear a week after you stop taking them - so I can always go back to the "baseline" if I stop.
So far I have no sides :)

Thanks!

I would say yes. It's always good to have a baseline, just in the event things go south later on.

Estradiol, testosterone, DHT, pregnenolone, progesterone, SHBG, prolactin might all be of use.

Is it worth it is always a pretty subjective thing. It cant hurt to have it, but hormone levels do fluctuate a bit I think so it would be hard to know what true baseline is. Like blood pressure you always take it while calm and relaxed not after exercising. Hormone levels are harder to pin down IMO
