Is it too optimistic to expect a hairloss cure in the next 10 years?

You know I honestly wouldn't doubt that. As hard as it is to believe.

why does the "research" section of the message board have a lot of promising and optimistic posts while there being pessimistic posts floating around here?

i am not trying to be critical. just trying to understand something. i am very new to male pattern baldness and am very curious.

Of course there will be. There's too much competition and an unsatisfied market where billions and billions can be made.

A cure...as in a one time treatment and you get all your hair back...no way.

A new evolutionary treatment (ongoing) that raises the bar from current ones (finasteride, minoxidil)...likely (and hopeful).

Replicel is working on their cure. I don't see why they would discontinue it.

These threads are common but kind of pointless. No one honestly knows. Anything is possible but odds are it probably will not be cured in the next 10 years just given the history of it. Its possible but I think the stem cell cure is more than 1 decade away for my guess atleast

Yeah its pretty much all speculation. I remember my derm saying "there are things coming down the pipeline soon".. and that was already like 2 years ago.

It's optimistic to assume there will be one at all.

My dad started losing hair about the time I was born. He was told they were 10 years off a permanent cure. 22 years later, now i'm an adult and losing hair and we're still 10 years away from a cure. Only realistic thoughts you should have on the matter is hope current treatments work for you, and if they don't work then start on the road to accepting baldness.

Better treatments/cure will be here eventually, but that could be a few years or decades away. Don't believe anybody when they say that something will definitely be out by a certain time they have absolutely no clue. Bimatoprost has been discussed as a potential treatment for years and I have heard statements from 2011/2012 that it is months from being released...still no clue when or if it will be available.

Waiting for these cures is a mistake. Use what we have now and try to maintain the hair you have. If or when these cures come out you can always stop using finasteride and minoxidil and jump on the new stuff. Another thing to consider is the cost of the new treatments. You can bet that if their is a cure or better treatment it isn't going to be cheap. Price alone will exclude many from even getting their hands it.

Hair loss is a progressive condition. Preventing it IS the cure but most of the time, people just get tired of spending hundreds for just a cosmetic appearence

Genetic splicing is the only true way to achieve perfection

You can treat your hair loss for a little more then $10/month. Well worth the price.

Not everwhere. In some iraq countries, hair loss products are sold like a fortune.

We could use online shopping but location delivery is a b**ch. Ill relocate to a better city in future honestly.

I personally spend like a 1000 rupees for minoxidil and keto shampoo with supplements a month. This muxh money can easily get you a 3 day meal with a room for a month.

In dollars its like 16$ i think
