Say for example you have no baldness on either side of your family. One side has a lot of testosterone, but have hair follicles that aren't sensitive to it so they don't lose any hair. Then on the other side of the family they have very sensitive hair follicles, but so little testosterone that they are hardly effected by it.
Would it be possible to develop male pattern baldness if you inherit one side's high testosterone and the other side's sensitive hair follicles?
