Is it possible to use hair created with minoxidil as donor hair for hair transplant?

If it is the case, someone could just regrow hair in their donor area with minoxidil and microneedling and have an unlimited amount of grafts for their future transplant. Am I missing something?

minoxidil essentially revives inactive follicles, and there’s nothing to revive or re-grow in the donor area once follicles are removed

Minoxidil doesn't create new follicles and when you move a follicle from the donor area, the place where that follicle was becomes scarred so you can't create new follicles there.
