I have been on Propecia for 6 years, I had never heard of gyno until I went onto these forums and boards and read about it. Here is my question:

I don't think I have gyno at all but....... I am a wieght lifter and have been for years ( 13 to be exact ) I have a developed chest and it doesn't seem like b**ch tits. I looks like a developed chest. Since I am lifiting and have a developed chest could I have gyno and not know it. If I stop lifting in years to come will I end up with b**ch tits? I guess I want to know if there are any signs I could look for to give me a hint that I may be developing gyno?

Any help is appreciated.

md . . . AFAIK, a developed chest and b**ch tits are 2 separate things.

I work out quite regularly too. Not Arnold Swarzenegger in his prime - but a well developed and tuned bod w/ fair muscle definition.

In my case anyway - after 8 months of 1mg proscar daily, the b**ch tits appeared on top of, and separate from all of that.

Also in my case - 5 years worth of subsequent excersizes haven't helped them go away.

So now, I had a fairly well developed bod, but w/ a pair of boobs (and no, they weren't the result of getting fat and/or lazy, and/or old - because except for them appearing out of no-where, I was in great shape).

Just my situation.

If you haven't been experiencing any pain or discomfort in your nipple area - and if you don't actually see perky breasts sprouting - you're most likely safe from gyno developing.

I should note also - that my issue was breast enlargement - not lumps in the breast.

Hair tommorow -

No sh*t huh?? Sorry to hear that, it is really bizarre! So you had breast grow " on top " of your chest? I think we are probably the same build, nothing huge, just definition and muscle development. Kind of like Brad Pitt in fight club is how I would describe my body, just a more fat.

I guess I started to worry because it seems like my nipples are starting to stick out a little. No pain, lumps or tenderness though. Is there a chance of developing them or would it have happened by now??

What is AFAIK?

~~ Imagine a flat chested chick - not totally flat like a regular flat chested male - but really small chick boobs. Yeah - I guess "bizarre" covers it.

~~ I don't have anywhere near his abs - but yeah, lean and mean.

~~ Anything's possible, so just to be on the safe side keep an eye on your breasts. Really. Maybe a monthly photograph and even a regular tape measure reading (to guard against any possible breast enlargement issues)..

And perform a regular (every few days) palpation or breast exam. Use your index and middle fingers together to prope your breasts. If you feel a lump, you'll know it.

What is AFAIK?

thats a gyno forum...just like this one it's very helpfull ... a bunch of people post pictures daily and when u look at even one its pretty obvious to see what exactly gyno is and looks like

also....if u have a built chest it would grow on top of them like thin said....the nipple would be bigger or puffy or something....how much muscle u have and how much gyno u have have nothing to do with each other....u can be built as ufck and still have gyno showing

So your saying IT WOULD be showing???? I'm afraid that I stop lifting and in 2 years, realize that I was growing tits all along and just didn't know it.

If you had gyno, you would first probably feel it forming (itchy and burning nipples, pain in the chest area, etc.) and then you would see it. Raise your arms to the ceiling and see if your chest appears flat by rubbing your hand over it. The fact that you can't see anything wrong with your chest _and_ you don't have pain in that area leads me to believe that you shouldn't worry.

Yeah if you lift your arm and the skin is tight against your chest it probably isnt gyno.

Another good test is to flex your chest, if there is any flab or soft tissue around the nipple you could be developing gyno. If its hard as rock its all muscle.

Also, a tip if your chest is developing in an un-flattering mannor. Do mostly inclines, they build the upper chest and shoulder tie-ins and gives a much better looking development to the area. I only do 2 sets of bench, then 5 sets of inclines to get this type of look.

If I flex my chest there is some loos skin around the nipple, but nothing major. I don't know I wish I knew for sure. I would stop Propecia if I had Gyno. It's not worth it. There is nothing you can do once you have it, correct?
