Is It Possible To Follow The Balding Pattern Of Your Uncle On Your Father's Side?

Hey guys. I've noticed that I've started to recede a bit at the temples, and my hairline looks exactly like my uncles at my age (20), and he still has a good amount of hair in his 50s but definitely more receded. My dad still has all his hair but a completely different pattern then me, and my maternal grandfather went bald but had a different hair type and a different pattern altogether. Thanks.

It's completely conceivable since your father and uncle share 50% genetic material. This obviously includes hair genes. I'd say if you start to notice further recession or thinning then you should consider a course of action. You could also add some pictures to this thread if you want advice about your current situation.

Here's some pictures for more reference.

This picture is from 3 years ago, as you can see I've always had this really weird hairline.

The front of my hair has looked exactly the same, even in pictures when I was really young.

Now, here's a picture of the side of my head from around 3 years ago as well.

Here's a picture of me from 2 years ago.

Now, here are pictures of my hairline today. I've noticed a little bit of thinning/minaturization a that temples, but nothing at the front of the hairline. I'm not sure if this is my hairline maturing or what.

In terms of family history, my dad has great hair at 55. My paternal grandfather had good hair before he passed away, and my maternal grandfather lost his hair in his 70sNow, my hair density is fine. I went to the dermatologist a few months ago and she said my hair was completely fine, even though I'm not completely inclined to believe what she says. I also asked my barber, and he said my hair quality was great. The only thing I've noticed is maybe a tiny bit of thinning on my left temple. Could this be slow male pattern baldness or just a weird mature hairline?

That hair at 28 years old combined with your family history bro you won't have to be worry hairloss for a very very long time.

I'm just confused because of my family history, over the past few months I've definitely noticed my hairline thinning a bit on the left side only and it doesn't really extend beyond the hairline, with none of it going into the forelock. The front of my hair is still perfect as well. Is this normal?

Does anyone else mind looking at my hair? I have some thinning/minaturization along my temples, but absolutely none on my hairline and my hairline hasn't receded at all. My crown and scalp also have no loss.
