I don't even Have Dandruff, Someone on here recommended Nizoral 2%, the stores only have 1% which is what I've been using.

I've been using for over a week now. The back of the bottle says to use 3-4 days out of a week for up to 8 weeks.

I use to wash my hair in the morning & night, every day. I went from pantine pro-v to this "Great clips" Brand, and I started to notice hair coming off into my hand every time I shampoo'd my hair. Wasn't sure if it was the shampoo or not. I started experiencing thinning hair before all this btw. I came on here, someone suggested Nizoral. And I don't even have Dandruff.

Can someone please tell me if there's anything else I should be doing? I don't even use conditioner. Is Conditioner bad for my hair? Can you recommend one if not.

List of Questions, if you can please advise- would only take a second.
1. Should I be using something else to shampoo my hair with?
2. Is there a list of foods that are really good for hair?
3. Are there any good remedy's I can try out?
4. Is Rogaine a bad idea?

I'm only 24, and I don't want to take propecia. NOTE: Anyone considering that drug, or taking it please check out the "PropeciaSideEffects" dot com site.

I don't really have much hair loss on the back of my head, it seems to be on the top, in the middle, coming down to the front.

I read Rogain doesn't help the front, I also read it makes your hair thinner then it is naturally. Including the surrounding hair. etc..

Anyway, please take me in. Please take a moment to write me back & let me know what it is you can recommend.

I'm so swamped with work, I can't take hours per day researching on the internet. I'm sure you've already taken those steps- please share what you know with me. It took me a few days to make time to write this thread.

I will take the time to read what you write, & take those steps.

thank you!

Just use the Nizoral 3 times a week. That's enough, any more and you'll just make your hair and scalp dry as hell.

Foods do not matter sh*t with regards to hair loss, it's all in genetics.

Rogaine is a good idea because it stimulates hair growth but it's also a pain in the *** to apply.

Oh and Rogaine DOES work on the hair line. Many people here have had success with it (including myself to an extent).

Most people here will tell you that you NEED propecia if you want to keep your hair. I'm like you though, I refuse to touch that sh*t.

Thanks bro, so I can only wash my hair 3 times a week, that's kinda nasty.

How do I get nizoral 2% Would I need a prescription? Should I not use it?

And that's a dandruff shampoo, should i not use it? I don't have dandruff.

thanks!

You don't need to have dandruff to get the benefits of nizoral, personally i think the 1% should be fine for you, 2% causes me irritation, you may be wondering just why people are recommending nizoral?

Well ....

i) It's a mild anti androgen, that means it's going to have a mild effect on the root cause of hairloss, DHT.
ii) A lot of people with male pattern baldness report an itch, nizoral helps sooth the itch
iii) There maybe another mechanism which we don't know about which can help it grow hair.

Nobody said you only have to exclusively use nizoral, some people alternate with other shampoos.

I heard of one guy who regrew his hair and that with just Nizoral every day. I can't remember if he used 1% or 2%.

But, yes, it does work :)

I still don't know if it harms the liver or not, people all say it doesn't but I need to see more proof before I can believe that.

But.. yeah. It works AFAIK.

http://rosacea-support.org/sebazole-top ... gel-2.html

Conclusions: Subjects with severe seborrheic dermatitis who apply ketoconazole USP 2% topical gel once daily for 2 weeks to affected areas have limited systemic absorption of ketoconazole. These results agree with results from studies of other topical ketoconazole formulations where levels were non-quantifiable when less sensitive assays (LLOQ 1-5 ng/mL) were used. The median Cmax and AUC were 6700 and 1700 times lower than values reported after oral dosing of 200 mg ketoconazole. In the subject with the highest ketoconazole levels, Cmax and AUC were still 250 and 75 times lower than after 200 mg orally.

Not conclusive proof, but should give you an idea.

Note this was short term but the applications were daily
