Is hair system a reason enough to not be let into the army?

I basically skipped it because of hair. I got diagnosed with another disease, though, that got me free, but I maybe would have gone, if I didn't wear hair.

People would find out, if you just removed it and attach it again, when you're finally out and that would be a social suicide. The physicians and especially the psychiatrist of the health commitee should understand that.

I get a feeling that if you want to have an extreme lifestyle (being in the army included in that extreme) , then a hair-system probably isn't the best option.
So in that respect its probably for the best you didn't go to the army if you want to keep your hair-system. Not only because it would be social-suicide as you so eloquently phrased it, but also because the maintenance ,I assume, would be unmanageable with an army lifestyle.

But it's mandatory in my country.

I avoided a good opportunity in the military because I didn't want to take showers with a lot of guys because they might notice my crummy transplant if I had to cut my hair really short. I mean, the shower part was fine. I am too old now but I wonder if they would take a transperson with huge breasts? Where would I shower now? I still shower with the men after swimming and I am really popular it seems with the Asian cohort who seem to dominate our public facility. TMI?

Sweet Land o' Liberty of thee I sing. It's the only thing about the U.S. that is more free than in Europe where they still discriminate against men by drafting them while the chicks get to just have fun. What would happen if you stated that you were transgender? It worked in the U.S. for a really long time. Just tell them that you looove men and loove showering with them.

Military? How old are you? Are you being drafted or something? What country are you in?

I was looking into be an aviator in the Navy or a language specialist in the army but yes, hair loss made me leery that my transplant scars would show through a very short hair cut because I had scarred badly but this was in 1987-90. I went to France and Brazil and did language training in both languages and I would have been stationed in Germany. They used to just put ads in the paper in the olden days. I ended up going to law school instead.

Thinking back to my time in the military - I could have never been able to wear. Between the extended field training, and the overall military environment - I could have never pulled it off. And while I am unabashedly open about wearing a system - I don't think even I would I set myself up for the level of ridicule that 100% will be coming your way.

I had the male version of Farrah Fawcett hair when I went in the military - and I can assure you my style did not 'just happen'. I took a hair dryer and a hot brush to boot camp. At the last minute I had a moment of clarity and threw them both in the trash at the airport upon my arrival - to this day - Best Decision I Ever Made. I would have NEVER lived that down.

One thing that made and makes me shy away from many XY's is the incessant banter of stupidity and lack of regard for others' feelings because, "come on. It's just a joke" or whatever. At least in the U.S., historically our military training incorporated a huge amount of gay, trans and female bashing but the instructors so it just goes on down the line. Still, many coaches in the U.S. find it to be a coaching technique to ridicule a player or team by telling them "stop playing like a bunch of girls". Now they are beginning to lose their jobs for such remarks. Toxic masculinity.

If I did get drafted which I won't cause I am past that age, which is somewhere in the 40's, I wonder if they would have trans barracks or if I would end up with the guys cause non-binary MtF's can look completely female except for the money shot.
