Is going from NW2 to back to NW1 only possible with Finasteride + minoxidil?

I am going to go to a dermitologist in a little over a month then I ll decide if I want to risk finasteride or not. Meanwhile my question is, has there ever been a case of someone being able to go back to NW1 from NW2 with just nizoral? or have all such cases been with finasteride and minoxidil?

you are unlikely to get from nw2 to nw1 with anything but a transplant
nizoral does close to nothing but finasteride and minoxidil may allow you to maintain
