Is Finasteride Right For Me? Mild Thinning

I've noticed my hair has been getting a bit thin at the crown, not noticeable with a short haircut and barely noticeable as hair gets longer and if you know where to look under light.

Thing is I'm not really shedding, not more than normal.

Should I get on finasteride? Will it thicken the crown? If I get on it and off it again - will I lose more hair than I am now?

Is there a point to finasteride if you're not actively shedding?

Same questions with minoxidil.

Why not just see a doctor or dermatologist, and ask them those same things? In person they can look at it and answer your questions. Plus they write the prescriptions for it anyway so you have to see them to begin with. If they dont think you have male pattern baldness they will tell you that.
