Actually I have seen such a case, my uncle's younger son has already started to bald (21 yrs) and the older son have absolutely perfect hair (26 yrs). I think if only one of the parents has the balding gene then you have 50% chance to escape it, but if both the parents have it then its pretty much game over.

...same case here..father bald..my brother 24 has perfect hair...long.. absolutely no recession...soft..nice texture...wavy... perfect density...and i am fucked

Father's a NW2 with senile alopecia. He's in his mid 50s. Has always had thick hair.
Grandfather is the same way.
Uncle is a NW4; took him like 2 decades to go from NW3 to NW4. Was probably a NW3 in his late 20s. Always had thin hair. Currently 42.
Great grandfather was a NW4 with no vertex thinning; died in his mid 50s with that.
My hair loss genes are mixed. Some really solid genes and some really mediocre genes. I don't think anyone went to a NW7 in my family. I think the worst in my family is a NW4...

I have fairly thick hair. I guess I'll see what happens. Been a stable NW1.5 for probably over a year, maybe even more. I practically have a day by day documentation of my hair. No changes.

My dad had severe hairloss by 20 according to my mum (I never asked him when he was around) I am currently 23 with probable Norwood 2 hairline with minor diffusing in right temple.

I have a couple of friends that has gone against their fathers hair. Some of them are still very young so it could still happen, there are also cases where I know guys 36-40 with perfect hair while their father has been bald for as long as I've seen them.

Then theres the opposit case. A friend of mine is turning 27 this year, his a nw4-5. Hid father must be somehwere between 55-63 and has a full head of hair.

not always straight forward like that. my dad is 57 he has a hairline of a middle schooler. nw0, needs a haircut every 3 - 4 weeks. my uncles (my moms side) didn't start having minimal diffused crown until they reached their 50's. and i was told i was losing hair at age 19, and became very noticeable by the time i was almost 21. funny thing is that i'm the only person in the family that can grow facial hair on the cheeks beside my brother (we are asians). my brother is now 31 and he is also going to see a doctor next week for his diffusing crown. these things are weird

Don't forget that hairloss and skip generations. So if your maternal AND paternal uncles have full head of hair, and ur maternal/paternal grandfathers, you could still be getting THEIR fathers hairgenes.
