Is a Maturing Hairline male pattern baldness??

Is this true?

Temple hairloss is very dificult to treat partically at norwood 2 as it isnt balding but a genetic condition which effects most men and is generalised as a mature hairline that most men get at some point in there life. The only permanent solution to this would be a hair transplant which you dont need. Relax you have nothing to worry about.

I certainly do not have a thinning crown... it's just my temples... I'm getting paranoid that it will lead to total hair loss... my temples are receding, and my hair is obviously thinning in that area (and badly), but I'll be very happy if it just stays there! (It doesn't bother me too much)...

I love how people say it's not hairloss it's just that you're developing a mature hairline. Ok do you have less hair than you used to have?? If the answer is yes, then yes you have hairloss period.

I see some old people who have every single follicle of hair that they would have had as children, that is the definition of no hair loss. Any receding or thinning of your hair is balding, it's just the speed of which that people get hung up on which will determine whether or not they call it going bald. Eventually all thinning hair will lead to baldness given enough time and if not treated. Why would it stop once it has started unless the hairloss was due to extreme stress.

Anyways these are my thoughts not yours, you look at it whatever way you please.

Well, my question was actually - if you're losing your hair above your temples, will it necessarily lead to the crown thinning and eventually to the whole head?

My point is that I dont care too much about thinning or loss of hair above the temples.. but I would care if it spread..

Some people confuse a "mature" hairline with VERY slow recession. Most true "mature" hairlines are very solid NW1/NW2, they don't look kinda sparse around the hairline like some of the guys here who are just slowly receding.

My father is 58, hes still a Norwood 0, no joke! No thinning whatsoever just graying. He dsnt have a mature hair loss i guess he hasnt matured yet LOL! But yeah the mature hair loss definition is vague, it means its gonna recede a little then stabalize and not change for many many many more years. If it begings to recede then its a receding hair loss period

What I describe as a mature hairline is when the hair loss goes up the forehead retaining its shape. Something that many african americans have.

NW2 involves temple recession so its just slow male pattern baldness.
