Is a hair system worth it? Why don't people just get a surgery?

Just curious, because it seems like the long-term costs of buying/maintaining hair pieces are outweighed when you consider you do a surgery and be done with it.

Somehow, though, I feel like I'm missing something obvious and there's probably many legitimate reasons why someone would consider a piece over surgery, can someone tell me the advantages?

There are a variety of reasons:

1. It's expensive.

2. They may not have enough donor hair to get the coverage they want.

3. Even for people with good donor hair, transplants never give thick lush looking hair as a hairpiece can.

4. It's risky. The transplant may not take, or you may suffer severe shock loss and end up worse off.

5. It's irreversible. If you don't like it, you're stuck with a scarred up head.

6. It is time consuming. It takes months for the hair to grow in.

7. It's hard to conceal. For at least a few weeks it is going to be obvious what you've done unless you can wear a hat full time. If you already wear a hairpiece, you probably have to take it off.

I don't mean to slate hair transplants off, but it is not an easy choice. There are pros and cons.
