Hi Guys,

First time poster.

I have been looking around for a bit but never seen this study before -

http://www.hairlossindia.com/images/pub ... um-USA.pdf

It involved a fairly large testing group - 500 patients.

The results show cycling with antioxidents, amino acids, minoxidil and finasteride every third day was more succesful that finasteride each day + minoxidil.

Side effects were almost zero to.

Thoughts?

Hmmm, I wonder if it's worth me going to 0.5mg a day instead of every other day now.

Not sure why you'd think that after reading the study? They suggest dosing finasteride every third day.

If this well referenced study is legit it raises some questions for me.

Why did the cycling protocol work so much better than the usual 1mg of finasteride per day? (An average 52% improvement in hair density at 4 months compared to 3.6%)

Why is there no reports of side effects at all in the cycling group - when finasteride is known to cause at least SOME side effects in all previous studies, and is activie in the body for longer than 3 days, especially after significant accumulation.

This study appeared in a hair transplant journal. The author is an average hair transplant doctor in India, but to me this doesn't lesson the respectability of this study, and he does provide photos (which of course only mean so much).
