I’ve been on minoxidil for a year and a half now. Initially I experienced a lot of success with new growth and an increase in thickness but after 6 months shedding and recession started again. A month ago I started with finasteride alongside minoxidil and over the past two weeks I have experienced a rapid increase in shedding (these have mainly been short hairs but quite a few long hairs), particularly in the crown area which is developing a noticeable bald spot. Is it normal to experience thinning of the crown so quickly?
