Finasteride has a relatively flat dose response. The difference between 0.2mg or 5mg per day is negligible in terms of DHT reduced in the body.
To answer your question it is unlikely that increasing dose will give you better effect. I have previously read a study showing that topical finasteride can reduce more scalp DHT than oral route. So you could try doing both topical and oral and see if that helps otherwise you would have to look towards stronger drugs like Dutasteride although I don't recommend cause I barely understand about the persistent sides related to it.

ok but what i don't understand is that there are many studies which show the same rate of side effect between finasteride 5 mg and dutasteride 0,5 mg despite the fact that duta inhibit more dht .
SO i am currently taking 5 mg of propecia because i am scared of duta , but will it cause the same side effect as duta ? i thought it was safer to use finasteride 5 mg than dutasteride .
