In the light, my hair looks horrible

When the light shines on my head it looks horrible.

At work it's hell.

I wear a cap all the time.

People think I am losing my hair, and that's why I wear a the cap all the time. Yes they're right.

Fact is, I cannot be myself.

When I do try it is met by a load of hostile looks. It's like "you're losing your hair, be quiet and stay in your place"

This is a shitty feeling. I have a crap job as it is, I hardly ever smile - people mistake it for attitude.

I can't win.

Now people have clocked that I wear a cap all the time, and laugh at the fact, they think I'm hiding something.

I’ve used this place for over a year now and I haven't got anywhere.

I've just put minoxidil all over my scalp.

And logged onto to this computer.

This isn’t a life.

I'm going no where fast.

My motivation has suck 10 fold. I cannot help this.

I'm a picture of misery because of this, and guess what - it's mistaken for attitude. Just my luck.

Hair loss dominates my life.

Fact is, I hate the diffused shaved look. I can't get used to this. Horrible when the light shines on it.

This is the only reason my life has changed 1000%. I can't accept this.

No one wants to no you when you're down, but soon pop up when they realise that you look good, or you have a talent that has been documented in some way or another.

People want to be your friend when you look good. No matter what you do or say, they will want to be seen with you.

When you lose hair, these people are no where to be seen.

Sickening.

I hate this.

This gets to me a lot.

I wish I had triggered this sooner, although when I was younger, I would notice this, but continue.

If the ground opened up right now, I'd want to jump in.

There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Sorry for the doom and gloom, but it's hard, I'm going no where fast, I've reacted abysmally to hair loss, I'm in a dead end job, my motivation has sunk, I have no understanding around me, I get sympathy in real life, when I am putting on a brave face.
People have taken advantage/ got off on this misfortune of mine, and I have smooth skin and hair loss. nightmare combination. Doesn’t work.

Waste of time.

If smooth skin isn’t complimented with at least half decent hair, then it’s a complete waste of time.

I've gone my whole life not smoking a single cigarette, and it's been a waste of time.

I might as well of become a criminal/ drug dealer, no hoper, to be honest.

Why? because that’s how I've been treated in a way. A good looking criminal would be treated better then a miserable guy with hair loss. Fact.

God I wish I could just smile, but I have no reason too. I have no light at the end of the tunnel. Nothing to aim for.

Everything has gone array.

If I had half acceptable hair, that I could at least "half style" then I would be happy, but this is unacceptable. Using hair loss treatments for a mess on my head is depressing, tiring to say the very least.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to one thing. Hair.

Another thing, while I'm ranting. I always strike up the conversations at work. No one ever comes to me and talks. Well, they did 3 years ago, when I had no hair loss.

3 years ago I was working for an insurance company. I have no grades. They employed me for my appearance.

Not feeling sorry for myself.

I'm stating facts of what is actually happening.

Rant over, bad depressing day.

f*****g must off been, Jesus.

I think your putting to much stock in hairloss and although you have probably heard this a thousand times your hair looks good in your pics...the way you go on anyone would think you had about two hairs left on your head. Most of it is your own insecurity and paranoia.

Bright lights, especially ones they have in the workplace, do make hair look bad. Bright lights are one of the thinning guys worst enemies.

It seems to me like a classic case of low self esteem...sh*t, i know, went through the exact same thoughts and feelings...thought everybody was looking and talking about my hair and thought they were better than me because of it. I was like a paranoid junkie!

It could be worse, no job AND a bad attitude. People don't talk to you because you don't smile. I've got a shaved head, AND I'm going bald. Hot chicks still talk to me, because I smile.
Hair loss is like big tits, you don't notice unless you don't have it.
Not all chicks judge you on your hair. How many times have you seen an ugly dude with a hot chick? Lots.
They make em' laugh, and the girls get sucked in. It's how it works and anybody with at least one testicle still in use knows this.
Ya, you might not get any plastic parts money chasing broads, but you'll get some good looking ones that aren't worried about bullshit, unless of course you are.

Man, I wore a hat for like two years straight and barely got any action. I shaved my head, got a tan, and accepted myself. Girls started coming on to me again. In fact, believe it or not, there are some girls that actually LIKE a guy with a shaved head. Be still, it's the truth.
This isn't a pep talk, this is the straight freakin dope.

The light is there, you've just got to turn it on.

If you look at your early pics to your latest there has been significant improvement, and what you sayin? Daylight deceives you, into what? thinking you have hair. The pictures were light.

I am happy with my hair, but, if i focus on all the bad parts and look at my hair from all the worst positions then i would be convinced my hair is sh*t and all is lost.

Your misery is causing your attitude and it stinks! its defeatist, its like you want to be miserable.

With your shaven head you do not look like you have any hairloss. As for with longer hair it is hard to say as you have a shaved head in your pics

I hate your posts. Rarely will I ever respond in this manner but....Stop coming on here posting your depressing life stories. No one feels sorry for you. We are all suffering for male pattern baldness to different degrees.(I personally am worse than you and younger 20) Go out and live life, stop spending your time on the computer complaining...I have a buddy who is diffused and shaves his hair real short...not that noticable. He pulls chicks any night of the week and is the life at all the parties we go to. Dont let "hair" be the center of your life.

hey hey, give the guy a break. he needs our help and hes gona get it. you may think he has a decent head of hair and can pull off the shaved head look, but to different people its different. some people may be able to tolerate more loss than others, or quicker loss. its all in how we perceive ourselves. hell, some older people dont even really care that much about going bald.

gunner - think about it. a lot of this is in your head. remember when you were a school kid? did you even pay much attention to which of your teachers were thinning, or bald? no. because you didnt have hairloss issues, so it wasnt an issue to you. did you ever notice a bit of recession in an actors hairline before you started losing your hair? your hair is what you make of it, and it doesnt need to define you. one of my favourite teachers at school was bald. the guy was a legend! he was always a good laugh, the life and soul of the party. noone thought, oh hes bald, he cant have a good time. if you give that impression though, thats what youll get in return. time to start afresh. portray yourself how you really are, how you want to be portrayed, and you will be that way.

if it makes you feel better, get a tan. everyone can pull off a shaved head and not look like they are thinning if they get a tan. some people with zero hair on top of their heads, you cant even tell in the brightest light if they shave their heads regularly and have a tan. itll make you feel better about yourself. and if and when the minoxidil (maybe try a stronger version?) or whatever treatment kicks in, youll be able to grow it gradually longer, to stubble, and still look really good.

go to the gym. i know its said a lot, but girls really prefer a good looking tanned guy with a really good body to a scrawny little kid midget with a full head of hair. sort it out!! as for your male peers, theyll respect your physical build too, its a fact.

i know its hard. i dont want to knock you. i feel so depressed about my hair sometimes. i feel like, if only i had a full head of hair, id be the life of the party, id be the nice guy even more than i am now and id have the confidence to live life to the full. f*** THAT. take control. you still can. shave your head get a tan get the full package and your confidence will come, as long as you work on your thinking. the older you get, the easier itll get, as balding is more common then. but who cares, youre going to sort yourself from now. itll take time, but come on you can beat this sh*t, get on your treatments, stick to them, and get everything else sorted.

think about the kids who are balding at like 16 or 18. youre a long way ahead of them. itll be ages till youre completely bald, if ever. hold onto the treatments, there are promising treatments in the pipelines and who knows what the next 10 years will bring? OSHOH anyone? (sp?) and if when youre older you feel like it, you can get a hair transplant, shave it or buzz it and always have hair on top.

rant over.

We're all allowed to have our "low points"...that’s part of the healing and learning phase. In fact that’s party of the reason why this site exists. But lets not get to carried away with feeling sorry for ourselves. That can’t go on for too long...you need to snap out if it amd appreciate what you do have rather than what you don't have. I did glance at your pics and you have more hair than I do. So f*****g smile and say out loud..â€

I'm sorry I am with VICCI and WS6-TA here, Gunner has posted his self loathing doom many times here, like VICCI said we all have tried to inspire him.

I have, like many, taken the time and posted long replies, trying to give the guy some help/advice and he doesn't even respond with a simple acknowledgement in return.

I was at a free music festival in London's Regent's Park this weekend, about 15 minutes on a bus from Gunners beloved Arsenal football club.

the place was rammed with blokes wearing only shorts, with tanned bodies and shaved heads getting pissed/stoned with beautiful girls, laughing, having fun, listening to the music and generally having a f*****g great time.

there were numerous Norwood 3, 4 ,5's etc, but they were not hearded into a pen and stoned, no they were just like everyone else, drinking, smoking, getting a tan and rolling around in the grass with gorgeous girls.

meanwhile I can only imagine Gunner was at home thinking up new ways to describe his personal hell.

It' not like his hair is even that f*****g bad!!!!!

sh*t, gunner what would you be like if you lost an arm or an eye!!!!!

your problrm is not your hair.

Hairloss at that point in life really doesnt matter.
