Importance of Temple Points...

How important do you guys feel temple points are to a person's overall appearance?

Personally, I barely have any. My right side is completely flush with my sideburns - no temple point, while my left side has a small temple point.
I didn't lose them from balding either - I just never had any.

I feel like my left side looks better because of that - on my right side there is too much of a gap between my eyebrows and my hair.

My roommate is also balding a bit (mostly diffuse) but has very strong, large temple points and they make a big difference for him. His hair combed back still looks good because they frame his face well.

I also find it odd how some men lose them during the balding process and some don't. I've seen some NW6s who still have very strong temple points while others have almost no hair except behind their ears.

Yes! I don't think a lot of people realize it... I know I didn't until i started losing mine. My temple points are almost gone, minus some mini hairs. My hairloss started to look really bad when my temple points decided to close up shop. They frame the face almost more than the hair on top.

That's why guys that keep their temple points when balding look so much better. That gap just doesn't look good at all between the side hair and eyebrows.

The trick I have adapted is using dermmatch. Trust me, this works!
If you have even the slightest bit of hair left near the temple points, use some dermatch to try and shadow the temple points. It makes me look much better/younger.

People with less temples or higher temples have higher foreheads and are therefore smarter ;), so consider yourself lucky.
I have pretty good temples thanks to minoxidil maybe. They're diffuse only from a certain angle.
