I know it sounds crazy and unhealthy (and I'm sure it is), but has anyone actually been desperate enough to try taking an immunosuppressant, like cyclosporin, for hair loss?
AFAIK, since male pattern baldness is partly due to the immune system, cyclosporin actually works pretty well at regrowing/maintaining hair.
My dad had a heart transplant in Sept 03 and has been on cyclosporin ever since (and will for the rest of his life). He's about a NW4 and has regrown hair since he's been taking it. Not a lot, but there is regrowth, and he also hasn't really lost any since.
