Hi everyone, I have been a long time lurker and I think I am ready to try and do something about my hairloss. Long story short I started loosing my hair around 18 in a diffuse style pattern. I am now 32 and although I still have a frontal hairline, the rest is getting pretty thin. I have shaved my head for years and have always been comfortable doing so but I do miss having hair. I will continue to shave my head for a while inititally. Just wondering what you guys think would be the best treatment to start with or if you think it is even worth starting at this stage of the game. Anyone out there with a similar story that had success? Thanks in advance for any advice.

It depends how thin you are. The current meds can usually maintain and maybe regrow some, if you're lucky. If you're almost bald on top I wouldn't count on getting a decent amount of hair back. You didn't have pics nor described the severity of your hairloss, so I can't say for sure. Usually the ones who start early get the best results. If you really have been loosing hair for 14 years, the situation must be pretty bad.
