Hey everybody, i'm 21 and losing hair, i've been reading a lot about hairloss, and on this forum especially, now i want to be on the community.

first thing, i don't want to post photos and i don't want to make this topic about my case only, but i need to introduce it:

- Tomorow morning, i do a test with my hair, they will tell me where i'm thinning etc.
- I think im a diffuse thinner but for now the most is on the first 1/3 of my head
- my vertex is itching and tickling and my first 1/3 too but differently (maybe due to minoxidil)
- here on the front i'm using minoxidil for 1 month and a half and dermaroller sometimes below the hairline
- the scalp is super oily but the hairs looks dry

i don't know when it started, i lose hair and that's it, i'have definitely lost a good amount but still looks good after a shower, when they are clean, so i mean i don't care if i don't get back what i lost, i want to stop it or slow it efficiently. For now i don't see nothing new with minoxidil but will keep using it.

So the point is, i'm going to start some pills,
first the "natural" things.
people talks about a lot of things that can be good, but it seems from what i read that pumpkin seed oil and eklonia cava have more supporters than the others like saw palmetto, so i might start with that, what quantity ? and do you have other natural product to suggest ?

Than THE drug, Propecia,
well like many, i'm scared of the sides, oh no i won't stop having erection to have new hair, but maybe i'll try later, and if if i have the sides, i'll stop.
And i have a question that might sounds stupid but, i was a good responder to accutane, which is also a treatment with lots of sides, never had one, will i be one good responder to propecia ?
Also, people that say they don't have sides, what's your sexual life ?

And one last treatment i want to start, Nizoral
Will it stop or reduce itching ?
You have to take 2% or 5% ? what does it do exactly ?

Then there is the differents oils, that i used few times, it definitely make the all thing looks better but can't tell if it act on hairloss.

And i consider hair transplant like the last solution, so i like to don't even think about it.

I want to finish with a debate, why do we care so much about it ? why we never really stop doing it ? i think it might be because of the fact that there are solutions they give to us, we see people with success story etc.. so we have hope and it destroys us.
let me tell you a story, i'm a short guy 5.4, i made a test when i was 16 because my sport coach told me i won't get more inches, and they confirmed it, i was devastated, compared myself with everybody, looked at other man's height etc.. then started looking on internet for solutions, there is one, a hard and heavy operation where they cut a piece of you leg bone, you'll be walking with cane for 1 year and having big pain to get like 1.5 inches. i was like, HELL NOoo. so really fast i accepted it and like 2 months after and until now, i love the fact that i'm short, makes me different, never feel inferior when i'm arround tall people (and people around are tall) i'm pretty confident in general but when i'm thinking about my hairloss..
sometimes i feel inferior when i'm arround guy with thick and beautiful hair.
Tell me what you think.

Thanks guys for reading me ! and sorry for my english, i'm french.

Well it is not that everyone is the same.
I believe some of these guys would trade hair for height.

i feel much better about being semi bald

cheers man

i needed this

But alas the short guys write the exact same things we do.

Including the everlasting 'is it true that after 30 women care less about height'?

i brought my case and thought it wasfor everyone, funny to see guys caring more about height than baldness, it all depends on people, but what's true is that women do care about height when they don't really do about baldness on guys..

I don't agree with this.
Women care about both.

As per your post, the issue with it is that you are asking practically everything about hair loss in one single post.

Why don't you just have a look around at the different sections of the site (don't just go to the forum; just start at www.hairlosstalk.com) and ask exactly what you do not grasp 100%?

Plus, a picture of your hair (hiding the facial features) is necessary to give any hunch about your next steps.

There are different thought currents about natural supplements.

I don't believe in them, but a B12 - D vitamin + biotin and zinc supplement can help you.

Nizoral def helps: it is one of the big "3".

Ok so i read even more on the subject, and yes i didn't know a lot of things,

First i see people go from nothing on head to an impressive ammount of hair using things i don't understand yet, and when i read your regimen i assume you do the same. Really i find this amazing, most of them are trans and they do want to feminize and i have got to say they look beautiful. So basically the cure already exist, because i tell you the before after i saw was incredible, unlike the transplant, it doesn't look real, it is real. i hope you get results too, do you have a topic ? are you a trans yourself ? yes now im really interested in that.

It also prove the problem is hormonal, purely, so i get it that suplement won't do much, but i'm still going to try pumkin seed and nettle root extract, at least i will feel better thinking it works, maybe.

And i definitely would start nizoral, some say it can help for the itching also and im f*****g tired of that.

Now what my ignorant *** get from those treatment i talked about before, is that you put female hormone on your body since the cause are the male one's, making people look more feminine, and get hair ! am i right ? well i won't do that because propecia alone scares me about feminization but i have to say it's encouraging anyway !

So i didn't want to, but now i understand that propecia IS the best thing, and that i should start it now that i have hairs,
so about the doctor, what do i have to do, it has to be a dermatologist ? here i'll get an apointment in like 4 months, i don't want to wait.
and also i heard about test, tyroid etc.. should i just go to my doctor and tell him i lose my hair, i want to make test to know what's the cause and maybe start propecia.

Thank you guys, i talk a lot but i already changed my mind since the first post.
