As the title says, if your father is bald how big are your chances of balding, and lets say for the sake of argument nobody else in your family or relatives is balding.

I'm asking this because most of my friends have bald or very thin haired fathers but they still have the perfect hairline (age 22-26).

I'd say 50% in your 20s, but i have nothing to back that up, other than my own observations of my college classmates

I know you cannot just look at your father, it goes deeper than that. But i'm mainly asking since my dad is 65 soon and a ok nw3 and i have started to show some little thinning at the left corner while my friends who has bald/very thin haired fathers still have a very stabile nw1.

Father bald then your chances of some pattern of baldness go way up. But, the exact amount and distribution of thinning hair will not be exactly like your father's. How was your mother's father?

I'd say a balding father puts you at at least 70% chance of experience some sort of male pattern baldness if not completely similar to his pattern, happened to me and my brother, but don't got any scientific data to really back this up.

It depends on your luck.
My father is the only NW7 of four brothers, all NW2 IN THEIR SEVENTIES.
I might have taken my mom's genes, BUT I took the ones from Dad.

Vice versa, a friend of mine has a NW6 dad but he and his brother are NW1 in their late 30s.

male pattern baldness is all about how lucky you are with your gene inheritance.

Since me and my family live in different country than my other relatives I dont have very good data on my family. But judging of the little i've seen and some pictures: 2 of 3 uncles from moms side had good amount of hair in their 35-40+. One has receeded at the front but nothing at the crown (if i remember correctly). My mothers father (judging from pictures) was a norwood 1-2 in his 35-40+ also. On my fathers side I have no clue of my grandpa. Me fathers brother died at age 70+ with not that much hair left. My father has seemed to keep his Norwood from 40 until present which is 64...maybe somewhat thinner.

Yes, as Roberto_72 said, if you have a diverse family history and varying patterns, there is no way to say with certainty how much or where you will lose it. That is the way genetics plays it out. If no ancestor ever lost hair, then you would be home free.

Well the positive thing is I cant recall anyone bald in my family, but then again I dont know my family history to 100% + it doesnt still guarantee me not going bald. So we'll have to waaaaaaaaaait and waaaaaait and see xD

Well I have my moms hair type and color. Maternal grandfather had a full head of hair, but i'm nearly NW2 at 20 and it's progressing quite fast, considering I had the straightest hairline about a year ago. You never know

My father is almost 65 and have still have thick but more gray than black hair with a NW0 / NW1.
I have brown hair myself and a receding hairline with probably a slight thinning all over my head, more like my mother's side.
