if you use enough finasteride why spironolactone

Guys:
I had this question in my mind. Recently bought 2% spironolactone from Dr. Lee. Haven't used it yet. My question is if we killed most of the dht using proscar/dutasteride what does spironolactone do? Does it offer any additional benefits for dutasteride/finasteride users or castrated people?

Finasteride does not stop all DHT.

The ideal anti-androgen should have the following properties:

(1) It must have potent anti-androgen activity; (2) It should selectively prevent or successfully compete with DHT without changing testosterone levels; (3) It should be effective topically, so it can be conveniently applied with minoxidil solutions or lotions and (4), It should be easily absorbed into the skin, but should have no systemic effects where it is not applied.

That’s a tall order. Surprisingly, there is such a medication: spironolactone

Also, while DHT is an androgen 10x stronger than testosterone, there is still testosterone floating around that may actually increase with finasteride, much more with dutasteride. Its not PROVEN than topicals add anything to oral treatments, but it makes sense to try to address the remaining DHT and testosterone that finasteride leaves. (not proven, may help, what else are you going to do with your money?)

Buy yellow snow. I am still not convinced that spironolactone does a damn thing. Where is the proof?

thats right social drinker. my concern is that if spironolactone is not working and affects the effect of minoxidil it might be counterproductive.

I use 5% minoxidil (generic), Avodart (real), and 2% Nizoral. Works for me. Screw spironolactone. I haven't seen one set of convincing before/after pictures.
