I was first on propecia for 3 months at $76/month. Then I switched to finasteride to save money and paid $57/month for the next 5 months. Just realised I can get a proscar prescription and get it filled anywhere for pennies. Just got my first proscar 4 month supply prescription filled for only $44.54 here in ontario at shoppers drug mart. That's barely over $11 a month. So if anyone else made the mistake I did, generic proscar is the cheapest method by far!!!

Yep, this is exactly what I do. I get generic 5mg proscar from Costco at about $75/year, just split them into quarters and am on my way. You would have to be an idiot to buy brandname propecia at $70/month unless you had absolutely no other choice or somehow couldn't get a script for proscar.

Unfortunately it's not as easy to get minoxidil up here.. a 1-month supply of 2% minoxidil from walmart runs $60, and no one carries the 5% foam for some stupid reason. I tried ordering a 3-pack from the states and customs actually seized it! I'm sort of glad though, because it made me decide to start finasteride and not dink around with these topical treatments.. Saved my hair in less than a year and i'm still going strong! Not bad for $0.20/day.

I get brand name propecia here in toronto canada for 45 bucks a month. I use to psay 60 a month. then my pharmacist said he had coupons and he charges me 45 a month for the brand name propecia. The pharmacy is located in the medical building where my family doctor has his office. I don't know why some people pay up 70 for brand name. there are cheaper places

I don't undertsand why some pharmacies charge more than others. The most I paid for propecia is 60 bucks which is still cheap in my eyes for brand name where other places here in toronto where charging 70 to 75. I don't get why they do that

Because it's all in the name of profit.

I wonder why they won't prescribe anything but propecia since finasteride or proscar is the same.
