Hi you all. Hair loss thing has been bothering me since I was 18. I noticed my hair changed its density but I wasn't sure why since I don't have any bald relatives. Around february last year I went to this derm who has a bad reputation here in my city (which I didn't know at the time) and he barely looked at my scalp. He prescribed me finasteride, minoxidil, nizoral a isotretionein because I said I was losing my hair. Put a heavy light on my scalp and said 'Yeah, your scalp is oily. I will recommend these'. I didn't buy the medicament.

Anyway, I went to another derm today who made a trichoscopy exam, and she said she doesn't think I have male pattern baldness, but a severe oily scalp which probably triggered the tellogen effluvium. Something like that. Instead of prescribing these ones mentioned above, she prescribed a lotion made of this:

Prolaurim - 3%(couldn't understand exactly her caligraphy)
IGF - 1%
VEGF - 1%
BFGF - 1%

and a Omega vitamin. Anyone knows if this is really useful? I appreciate all the answers

I would stick with your first doctors prescription. Sounds like the second one sold some crap.
