I Want To (finally) Try Doing Something About This.

I'm a 22 year old who's been receding/thinning for the past 3-4 years. It's noticeable to anyone who looks at me and bright lights are my worst enemy. I am probably between a 3 and 4A on the Norwood Scale and have not done anything about my hair loss out of shame. I buzz the sides and scissor the top because I feel like shaving it would look patchy. I wish I could go with a buzzcut, but my thin hair in the front doesn't allow it.

I want to start attempting to do something about it, but I wanted to know if I should talk with a doctor first? I also feel like it's too late for me to do anything about it because I'm so far in. Should I just go buy Procepia, Finasteride and Minoxidil right now and start trying to do something about it? or should I wait?

Firstly propecia and finasteride are the same thing, propecia is just the brand name of it. I'm 22 and have been losing hair since I was about 18/19 so I'm in a similar position to you. I started finasteride 1mg daily at about 20 and it really helped to stop any further recession. To be honest I think waiting right now is the worst thing you could do. You'll probably get 6 months down the line with even more hair lost and wished you'd done something earlier. The best thing you can do right now is get on the big 3 (finasteride, minoxidil and nizoral) or at the very least finasteride. Speak with your doctor and see if he'll prescribe you finasteride, if not then there's plenty of places you can buy cheap finasteride online, I currently use a generic version called fincar but it's all the same stuff.
