Hello I am 26 and have been researching and fighting hairloss for 3 years now. Ive always been an on and off smoker since highschool. Never heavy use until this past year.
I recently slowed my hairloss noticeably for over 3 months. Some effects starting immediately. I went "no poo" in October. I use a conditioner with mainly plant/fruits in the ingredients, some apricot/grapeseed oil on scalp (once a week at most) as it flakes in the winter, and if I HAVE to wash it I use baking soda an water. It has helped but that is for another topic.
I changed my diet as well and it is very healthy. Also ive taken a plethora of vitamins that you would see on here for awhile as well (biotin, saw p, fiah oil, e, b complex, ect). Ive always avoided propecia and rogaine. They seem to be rather serious chemicals and I prefer more organic approach.
Anyway I also raised my marijuana intake in October. Only the real good stuff grown by good people. There are many times when smoking the nice green that I actually feel physically positive healthy effects. And coincidentally my hairloss slowed some noticeably when starting this. At the same time I also try* to cut out all alcohol except porter and red wine. I can feel the physical goodness of that as well, compared to the pale ales i was drinking, and it has helped gray hairs believe it or not.
A week and a half ago I stopped smoking pot for a new job I am wanting. Its not for the drugtest as I am going to cheat to be safe anyway. It is for mental "clarity" and to feel more "on my game" during the interview/first week or so.
About 3 days after quitting hairloss picked up as it was when I wasnt smoking heavy. Im now over a week in with no change and dont want to risk losing what ive tried to gain/keep. heavy for me = (3 times - throughout the day). I work from home.
I do yoga, meditate, have done psychedelics/dmt in the past, and overall have a GREAT sense of my body. It is easy for me to listen to it. I can honestly feel my follicles asking my body "whats different here?"
Has anyone else experienced this quitting? Has anyone else experienced positive effects smoking high quality?
Will this hairloss period pass or was the good herbs actually doing something?
Again I smoked* not vaped or "dabbed". Nothing has changed except marijuana intake. My stress levels seem to be okay. My sleep is ok. My diet has been ok.

Parts of that post may sound naive but when I say "nice" green I am meaning the good stuff.

Turns out after posting this I noticed my biggest loss yet! I ran my wide-tooth comb through my hair before going out today and it was my biggest shed since I can remember, definitely since I started "no poo" and coincidental heavy marijuana use. Im seriously thinking not smoking isnt worth it if it is helping. No sense in waiting like a lab-rat to find out. Am I the only one here?
