hi guys i'm 24 and i keep chickening out of taking finasteride.
THe thing is i've always had powerful erections and have had girls say things like "wow you're big" and "you're thick"
however my hair is getting worse and worse!
I keep saying to myself i'lll just wait till it gets worse than ill take finasteride but i haven't yet
do you think i'm doing the right thing becasue at the end of the day once i start treatment there's no gong back?

Hey don't worry pal. Im taking finasteride and dutasteride a couple times a week. And my sex drive is still the same as highschool the only thing you'll notice is more watery semen. But thats normal, most medications involving enlraged prostates cause that

I keep going back and forth as well dude. I'm definitely leaning towards taking it though.

You've been here for some time now; you know how this mess ends.

I'm not taking finasteride, rather recede to a stable point, the get a hair transplant.

Yea i also know many people decide to take it, never get significant sides, maintain their hair and never go back here again.

That's one option if you've got the money. OP you're wise to be wary but you're wrong to say "there's no going back". You always start Finasteride and then stop if you don't like the sides.

A less popular alternative is going tropical finasteride. According to a study I saw, it reduced follicle dht by 50% and systemic levels by 25%. Oral reduced it by 40% on the follicle level and 70% on the systemic levels. So it seems more efficient although much more of a pain in the ***

other things like breezula will be out in 3 years or so. Anyone today starting finasteride has maybe 3 or 4 years before other choices exist (hopefully) so I really think with the evidence we have being on finasteride for a few years is not a big problem.
Only way to know how it will work is to try it. At first its nerve wracking but after a few weeks you forget about it and normalize.

Get on it asap tbh. You're still a low norwood but once you're 2+ other people will see that you're balding and if you think you're desperate and depressed now. . . just wait, it'll hit you like a tsunami of sh*t.

I'm a NW2 but with a little more thinning and ordered mine today. If you scared of sexual sides think of it this way: so what if you're libido takes a little hit, once you're a cue ball you'll be lucky to f*** a hole in the wall
