I can't use Nizoral. So I now just use the big 2. Advice!

Is this going to pose any significant threats to my hair maintanining/growth process?

I just use propecia, which I'm seriously considering switching to Avodart, I just have to see if that's a possibility with my doctor and if the drug actually works and doesn't cause many side effects, and rogaine, which may cause heart trouble LOL.

I'm not very comfortable taking these drugs at all, I'm actually quite scared what they're doing to my health.

Most people are vain and would swallow cyanide if it meant getting their full head of hair back. Sad but true.

However when I used Nizoral in the past, I developed an almost immediate reaction of a headache, dizziness and faintness throughout my body, and heart palpitations.

You guys can say it's safe, but something in this product makes my system go haywire.

It must be either reacting with some other drug, OR i'm allergic to it.

Is it possible to be allergic to Nizoral?

Anyways, thanks.

Is Shen Min also total garbage?

What about Nioxin?

I really need a strong regimen ,and Nizoral seems to be out of the question.

Can substituting Nizoral for T GEL make any difference?

Tgel works just fine.

Nizoral is just an addition, it can be truly helpful only if you suffer from some scalp condition (like most male pattern baldness sufferers do). If your scalp is fine, no tightness no dandruff just use any shampoo you want to.

I really wouldn't worry too much about using nizoral unless you suffer from a serious scalp issue such as seb derm (which I have, it really sucks by the way :( ). Yes, nizoral has been proven to have antiandrogenic activity, but in my opinion adding nizoral is just icing on the cake. Many people use it for the fact that it helps stop inflammation. In my opinion, you SHOULD look into using a shampoo that helps with inflammation such as Neutrogena T/Gel. This was actually the shampoo that was used in the FDA trials when testing propecia's effectiveness. Use it as you would nizoral. Good luck

Yeah having seb. derm and hairloss really s-u-c-k-s. There's no hope you can control your hairloss without 1st getting the seb. dermatitis under control. And that's a bit harder task to achieve...
