Hi guys I am sorry for all the minoxidil post lately, I am at the one year mark on finasteride my shedding has really slowed down very few a day.

I am again considering adding minoxidil to the crown as I feel it has thinned out a lot in the last few months, I have a cow lick on my crown of my head and it seems to be getting bigger and harder to hide .

I would like to know what you guys think based on the pics on my website, should I add minoxidil to the crown or wait longer and if wait longer how do you know when to add it?

other then being a pain in the *** to use are there any other reasons why adding mionx could be a problem?

A lot of my duress comes from the fact that my first experience with minoxidil was not to good. But if it will help I want to do what I can.

Hey, whatup man,

I'm in the same situation as you. I've hit my one year mark 9 days ago and I have continued to thin a bit. My hairline has receeded a bit the last 12 months and I, like yourself, have a cowlick on my crown which I think is getting bigger (although I'm not 100% sure about this).

I have thought, and asked around, alot about what to add and alot of people seem to think that minoxidil is the way to go. However I'm still looking at maintaining instead of regrowing (although that would be an extra bonus!) and I would like to wait with the minoxidil until I feel regrowing is my aim.

I have therefore ordered Proxiphen + NANO shampoo from Dr. Proctor. The Proxiphen contains alot of stuff, including minoxidil, spironolactone and some anti-inflamatories. Yeah I know, it's pretty expensive but I'm planning to only use it around my hairline and "a pad" on my cowlick (just for good luck). I imagine this way one vial of proxiphen will last me a good 2-3 months which then makes the product affordable. I like the thought of only applying this stuff once a day and then every second day after the first year of use.

I dunno if this is the right option - not a cheap one for sure but I'll wait and see....just my 2 cents.
