How's my regimen?

After a year of blindly fighting hair loss (ie using only rogaine since i knew nothing about fighting male pattern baldness), i have finally wised up (at least a little bit) and assembled something of a regimen. I'd like to hear some input on how solid it is or is not.

It just goes like this:

spironolactone 5% 2x/day
Dr. Lee's Regrowth Shampoo (2% keto & 3% salicylic acid) MWF
5% Rogaine Foam 1x/day

and i use emu oil some time after i apply topicals to help with absorption and to fight irritation, etc.

Might i see some significant slowing in loss with this regimen? Id imagine thats about as hopeful as it can get without resorting to finasteride (id rather go bald, i know the risks are slight but im not really into chancing it). Perhaps as time goes on, ill try out some nano shampoo or something, or up my use of keto shampoo by a day or 2, but for the mean time i want to start with this. What do you think i can expect in 6 months to a year?

Thanks

so even when coupled with the keto shampoo, i still need a good bit more of a defense then, eh? Regardless, I do think i want to go about this somewhat lightly at first- i will first give this routine a fair shot (if for nothing else than to say i finally displayed some discipline in treating hair loss rather than add/subtract every few weeks like ive been doing), and in a few months time perhaps ill start thinking of the next step. Thanks for the response!

gotcha. i will absolutely consider upgrading/adding something a bit stronger in the near future, perhaps some ru or fluridil- only thing is ive heard those treatments are rather expensive :dunno:

guess ill see how things go. thanks again!

I've tried spironolactone twice and both times it gave me sides so it definitely does something.

It may not be as potent as finasteride, but it'll still help to halt your loss, especially with the help of minoxidil and Keto.

sweet. kind of an update though (im not sure how much of a difference it makes, maybe a lot, maybe a little)

i think im gonna have to give up the 2% keto shampoo (at least for the time being) as it seems to be irritating my scalp. im going back to 1%, 3x a week

whats the difference between 1% and 2% nizoral in terms of effectiveness?
