How To Tell If Hair Density Is Worse?

There seems to be no way to tell eaxctly if your maintaining or thinning . Unlike just receding where you could have a better judge by pictures

I'm not sure if my hair is getting worse or if it's the same. I feel like it's slightly worse but I can't tell for sure

miniturization/density mapping by a competent doctor. Unfortunately these are few and far between. I don't think there is an entire doctor in my city who offers such a thing and I live in a relatively large city. Sure they have the equipment but its all for show in my experience.
