How to apply min to whole top of head, also foam or liquid?

I am considering adding minoxidil to my regime, but I am not certain how to apply it to the whole top area. Do you just apply to a few key points and "comb it in" from there?

Also I was considering using the kirkland liquid over the foam from rogain since the former is cheaper.

from my experience i don't think you can use the foam over all the head, unless you plan on going through a bottle a day!
use the liquid and part your hair in 3 sections, try to get as much as possible on the scalp and not the hair, minoxidil has no value on hair, must penetrate the scalp to work. I have just enough hair to make this a challenge but not enough hair to not use...........
