im not shedding at all right now, im currently on finasteride, but i do have LOTS of hairs miniaturizing

im stable right now, and i dont really want to hope on mix and trigger some kind of Shedding, but at the same time i would like to see if mix would bulk up some of my tiny hairs back to health

what should i do guys

The Minoxidil shed doesn't happen to everyone once they start the new treatment, it only happens sometimes. I was one of those people that went through the Minoxidil shed when first started, it lasted for two months until it stabilized, then regrowth happened. If you're still shedding heavily at four months, drop the Minoxidil treatment altogether as you'll most likely still continue to shed non-stop at that point.

@Agustin:

are you still planning to quit the minoxidil?

No, I'm not, it's far too risky in my eyes. Minoxidil kept my hair alive for a long time with our any other legitimate treatment. My hair would probably literally die if I cut off Minoxidil even though I'm taking Dutasteride. Minoxidil obviously keeps the hair follicles alive through an unknown artificial mechanism, so I'm not going to remove the 'life support' from them.

I'm going to stay with oral Minoxidil since it's much more effective than when used topically, as I've stated before. I'm staying at a dose of 2.5 mg daily. I'm aware that I've tried different dosages, though taking 2.5 mg should be optimal for the long term and actually quite sufficient at stimulation of hair growth without needing to worry about cardiovascular problems.

If your stable off finasteride then def hop on minoxidil to see if you get the results you want. Some shed some dont off minoxidil, level of shedding varies from what I read. Ive been on minoxidil once a day for 2 months now unsure whether my shed is from minoxidil or finasteride, but I have yet to see any thickening. Thats my fault tho as I started minoxidil right when I noticed increase hair loss from finasteride, so I figure just get it all over at once.
