How often should adults see the dentist?

I've never had a cavity in my life. My teeth look and feel pretty. It has been two years since I went to the dentist. Should I go again? Or would that be a waste of money?

You should have your teeth checked twice a year. Just because your teeth "look and feel pretty" :gay: , doesn't mean they aren't rotting on the inside. A pinpoint cavity may go unnoticed by you, but can develop into a problem very quickly. Don't put off going to the dentist because I can tell you from experience, that an abscessed tooth is one of the most painful things you can have.

Yeah - schedule a cleaning every 6 months. That way at least the dentist gives you an exam prior to the cleaning - and if there are any problems he'll catch them. Plus, you walk away with your teeth even prettier and cleaner.
