Just how important of a role does DHT plays in adult men?
What consequences could occur when we block a certain percentage of conversion of DHT in our body?
I've read recently that one of the things DHT do in adult men, is be the antagonism of estrogen, basically DHT directly inhibits estrogens activity on tissues. It either does this by acting as a competitive antagonist to the estrogen receptor or by decreasing estrogen-induced RNA transcription at a point subsequent to estrogen receptor binding.
Also, I saw the other day in the "dealing with side effects" section of the forum, a man who claimed to have suffered from post finasteride syndrome (after years of use) that checked his DHT levels in his body that came out very low, basically his body couldn't restore its normal DHT production levels after years of being on finasteride.
he then said he started taking DHT externally, and that seemingly solved all his persistent libido and erectile problems.
what do you guys think of that?
