How much minoxidil do you use in each application?

I have heard many here say they use more than the recommended 1ml in each minoxidil application, one poster recently said he used 3ml twice a day (6ml !! :freaked: ).

I think the area you are trying to treat must effect the requirements, it is claimed the recommended 1ml is the correct amount to treat a 2 inch square or an entire head ?

Don't make sense to me?

Well, as of two days ago I bumped it up to a full 1ml of the back and a half on the front at night.

then just a ml over the whole head in the day for convienience. This will change when I switch to Dr. Lee's.

it will become 3ml's a day. One ml on back, a half on the front.


I was just using a ml on my whole head for the past 7 months but now I see that doesn't make sense as it is indicated for use on the vertex. They mean for you to use a full ml on the vertex.

But my front is doing swimmingly on it so I'm hoping the back catches up.

This poll was promted by my recent conversion to 'His Divine Majesty King Dr Lee's' minoxidil.

Applying extra Rogaine (above the recommended 1ml) would lengthen the already long drying time, but now with 'His Divine Majesty King Dr Lee's' minoxidil this is no longer an issue.

The one thing to watch out for with large increases over 1ml would be systemic over-absoption.

Interesting to see that 6 people have voted so far and no one has indicated they are using the recommended 1ml.

Time for another poll.... of those who say they use 1/5 ml of minoxidil per application, how many of them actually use 1.7 to 2 ml. Be honest.
