How much finasteride should I be taking?

Should I take .5mg and see how it goes with that and bump it up to 1mg if I don't see any results?

Most doctors prescribe 1mg/daily, but if you are using the 5mg pill it's easier to cut them into fourths rather than fifths, so as Agahi said you could take 1.25mg/daily.
