Ok lets say i had alot of hair in my highschool years and i went on the treatment with rogaine, finasteride and nizoral. Would i recover all the hairs i lost or just some. I started like 3 years after my hairloss was first evident. Im going to stick with it for a year.

As SAF said, you may not recover anything. Its more about maintanence than regrowing, not to say that you wont recover anything... have a look at the success stories thread.

I really don't understand why people think reqrowth is so rare. The vast majority of people on treatment don't even post on these forums and I bet a large percentage of them experience at least some regrowth. The fact that the OP has only been losing a few years tips the odds even more in his favor.
Looking for people with results on a hair loss forum is not the best indicator of the ability of treatments to regrow hair since many people congregate here because treatments are not working for them and many don't have the patience to give the treatments time to work.

Regarding the clinical studies, yes they did indicate regrowth. However, this was crown/vertex growth - which is generally considered easiest to achieve - and regrowth in the clinical sense (i.e. more hair density as observed by a trichologist) is very different to the regrowth that most people would like to get (i.e. getting their hairline back).
