I was using 15% minoxidil and avodart for about 15 years. It really helped me hold on to what I had!
I had a bunch of health problems and life issues and stopped using the products for the last five years. Of course, I am way worse off now. I think I lost everything the products were helping me keep.
Things are better now and about 2 months ago I started using 5% minoxidil again. I'll probably look up 15% minoxidil again and have started looking for generic Avodart.
I think I remember reading the most you could expect to get back was anything you've lost over the last 5 years - more than that, the follicle is likely gone for good.
I've been doing some research and I can't find any info on "how far back can you go." Does anyone else have anything on this? Is my 5 year timeline right or am I misremembering this?
Oh, and if anyone knows where to get generic dutasteride without a script, let me know!
