How long should I leave nizoral in my hair while shampooing?

1 min? 2 mins? 5 mins? I just decided to start using nizoral. I plan on starting once a week for a month, then twice a week, then 3 times a week and continue at that rate.

Is there any potential sides of starting nizoral? Does it really help? I've been on finasteride for 6 months so far.

No sides from Nizoral,i am using it every day...once a week is not a good idea, and let it work on your scalp for minimum 10 minutes.

You use Nizoral every day and let it soak in for ten minutes?! My scalp can barely cope with it twice a week left in for five. What is your scalp made of? ;)

I read a doctor or two that said that main ingredient in nizoral could cause liver damage or something along those lines. No idea if that is true but who really knows I guess. I would not say that a shampoo can not hurt you though no one knows the answer to that maybe evidence supports it does not, but science always refines previous thoughts as it finds new things.

Oral Ketaconazole can cause liver damage, as far as I know topically it is safe, it has to be or Johnson and Johnson would have gotten sued to sh*t already. And I really wouldnt listen to much of what most doctors have to say about hairloss. Most seem completely oblivious. I believe that most knowledgeable posters on this forum that actually research hairloss know much more about it then your GP.
