Hello guys, I wonder if someone can answer this.

How long does it take for hair to fall out after an internal or external influence? As far as I know its at least 2,5 months or more because the hair first has to go through the catagen) (min. 2 weeks) and telogen phase (min.2 months) before falling out.

On the other hand I experienced strong shedding only 14 days after changing some meds I take. So I wonder if this 2,5 month rule applies in general or if it is overidden by other processes occasionally.

The answer to this question is important for me because it could help me identify the reason for my recent hairloss. I would know then when to look for the cause. I got a recession at the temples 8 weeks after moving to another country and wonder if the actual switch of places can have anything to do with it. Or if the causing event has to have taken place some weeks before I moved.

Thank you for your answers, they are much appreciated.
