How Long Before Results?

I've been minoxidil. and Proscar for 10 months now. The minoxidil i probably only use once a day, but that should be enough from what I read. Sometimes I've used it twice, but whatever. Anyway, I think I'm maintaining, sorry I don't have pics, and while I have a thick head of hair, I do have a bald spot line that can't be covered up despite my thick hair.

And thick hair really hides the hair loss, but make no bones about it, it will recede and thin as well. I'm just concerned because I would expect to see the bald spot fill in faster than other places, and I definitely notice more hair elsewhere on my body, plus those hair on my legs, arms, chest seems to be in the growth phase longer -- they're def. longer, and def. appeared in places it wasn't before. So I'm just concerned that it's working elsewhere on my body, but not on my head.

Can anyone shed any light on whether it may take the full two years to see results? i'm just scared because while my hair is fine now, my dad is plumb bald, and i'm 27, so that's a decent age, but i think he lost it all in his 30's, and i don't want history to repeat itself.

Regrowth results - if you get any at all - vary from customer to customer.

Some people claim remarkable regrowth in 3 months.

In my personal case - it took 8 months on finasteride for my NW4 baldspot to fill in - although I was still a tad thin on top and graduated to a NW3.

Some guys have to wait the full year to see appreciable results.

"They" say that you should be happy to maintain - and regrowth shouldn't be a goal. So if you're not getting any worse - you're a step ahead already.

But it also sounds as if you're responding well - albeit slowly. Tough it out - hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised soon.

I think I've gone from a Norwood 4.5 to a Norwood 2.5 in 3.5 - 4 months.
