How effective is Nizoral on its own?

I've been thinking about starting Nizoral shampoo 3 times a week. I haven't jumped on any treatments yet. How effective is it on its own and is there any side effects to it at all? Can it worsen hair loss if you stop using it?

From what I've gathered, Nizorals active ingredient is a MILD DHT inhibitor, so I would assume that it will have some effect, but nothing over the top. I heard it's about as effective as 2% Minoxidil, which, for its convenience, isn't bad. Since it inhibits DHT I would assume that ceasing use would lead to the follicle returning to its original state.

Nizoral develops tolerance in a while. Get on Finasteride if you actually love your hair and wanna keep it. Add Rogaine later. Oh and just for the record, nizoral isn't as effective as Rogaine 2%.
