How do you split a 1mg finasteride into 4?

So today i started using finasteride, and wanted to try 0.25mg Every other day to start with,

i bought this pill cuter:

But i just tried using this pill cutter to first got the finasteride pill in two, but it split it into 3 in one cut,

it looks like 1 part is 40%, one part 40% and one part 20%

so i just took the 20% of 1g part, but in the future, how can i make the pill splitting more accurate?

what do you guys use to split the 1g pill?

How did you split it in 3 with one cut?

You need to cut it in half and then cut the halves in half. It's not difficult.

If you're just starting why not start with 1mg? I don't understand. It's more effective. Only take a lesser dose if you have side effects.

beaner - thats what i tried firsyt of all but cutting it down the middle somehow cut it into 3, ill try and do it slowly next time

grayman - because to me it makes more sense trying .25mg first and see if it stops the thinning/receding and if it doesnt then increase

also it works out a lot cheaper this way
